We're done with politicians as ambassadors, says Dr M

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said politicians will no longer be allowed to be appointed as ambassadors.
However, when asked if the decision would affect DAP chairman Tan Kok Wai, who is the government’s special envoy to China, Dr Mahathir said Tan’s role was not the same as that of an ambassador.
Dr Mahathir said that after chairing the fourth meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption on Friday.
