Wearing masks in public not obligatory for most, stresses Health D-G

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has again clarified that one should only wear a face mask if they show symptoms.
Dr Noor Hisham said that in his daily update on Covid-19 on Monday in response to persisting confusion over conflicting statements and guidelines over the need for wearing a face mask in public including by security authorities, and added that social distancing is more than enough in general.
The Health DG also said authorities cannot arrest an individual for not wearing a face mask in public, saying that the practice is strictly advisory.
