Wee takes Education Ministry to task over contradicting answers on matriculation students intake

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong slammed the Education Ministry for providing contradicting answers on the intake of matriculation students.
The Ayer Hitam MP said the the matriculation programme was supposedly expanded from 25,000 to 40,000 students, including 4,000 seats for non-Bumiputera from 2,500, following a Cabinet decision in April this year.
However, based on the ministry’s reply on Tuesday, the number of seats was still less than 40,000.
