Wee: TAR UC to get RM58mil this year

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) will obtain RM58mil from the Finance Ministry for this year, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
This financial allocation will be fully handled by the owner of TAR UC following a revised decision by the ministry.
An immediate outcome of this restored relationship between the institution and the government is that the RM58mil allocation will no longer be channelled to any third party.
This will be a departure from a decision made by the Pakatan Harapan government where former finance minister Lim Guan Eng insisted that TAR UC founder MCA must cede control of TAR UC to continue receiving government fund.
