Welfare home caretaker sentenced for sexual offences against two young boys

A 25-year-old welfare home caretaker was sentenced to 11 years in prison and five strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to six charges of sexual offences against two boys, aged eight and 10, Sinar Harian reported on Thursday (May 21).

Retna Velu committed the offences between February and March this year.
