WHO approves Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine, 2nd Chinese-made dose listed

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has approved a Covid-19 vaccine made by Sinovac Biotech for emergency use listing, the second Chinese-produced shot to get its endorsement, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a news conference in Geneva on Tuesday (June 1).
He also welcomed the move, calling the vaccine safe and effective and noting its easy storage requirements make it suitable for low-income countries.
