Plans to relocate wild boars in a residential area in Ayutthaya, Thailand is in the offing as these animals have been a nuisance to residents.
While residents, including one Buddhist monk, said that these swines have become somewhat of a symbol to the village, they still expressed their wish to have them relocated in a recent questionnaire.
For many years, over 300 wild boars have been living in a temple in the province and scavenge the streets and trash for food.
Residents also claim that these animals disrupt traffic.
A senior official said he needs to comply with residents’ request to relocate these wild boars and that they will be given away to those keen to raise them.
