Witness in unilateral conversion case lodges police report over alleged harassment

One of 14 women who have sued eight state governments over laws that allow unilateral conversion has lodged a report against Kota Tinggi Islamic Religious Council, claiming that she was harassed by its officers.
Arun Doraisamy, legal unit director of Agamam Ani, which is a Hindu NGO, is another plaintiff in the case, said on Thursday (March 30) that they are preparing to file a motion of contempt of court against the Johor state government, adding that the woman was shaken up after the incident and worried about her safety.
