Woman fined RM2,000 for lodging false report of getting stabbed by snatch thief

The Selayang Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (Aug 18) slapped a RM2,000 fine on a 20-year-old woman, who stabbed her own thigh and then made up a story that she was attacked by a snatch thief while driving.
Magistrate Nik Fadli Nik Azlan meted out the sentence against Siti Nurfarahiyah Yusri after she pleaded guilty to a charge of lodging a false report.
