Woman who had to give birth in jail acquitted in drug case

A 34-year-old woman who had to deliver and raise her youngest child while in jail after being charged with drug trafficking two years ago was acquitted and discharged by the Seremban High Court on Friday (July 21).
Judge Datin Rohani Ismail acquitted R. Devaki after the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against her.
Devaki was charged with allegedly trafficking 237.8g of cannabis at a house in Bandar Dataran Segar in Port Dickson on Aug 4, 2021.
