Zahidi apologises in Dewan Negara for causing confusion over Veveonah remark

Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin has apologised in the Dewan Negara for causing confusion over his remark on September 3 when he accused Universiti Malaysia Sabah student, Veveonah Mosibin, of lying about having to climb a tree in order to get better Internet connection for her examination, to gain fame as a YouTuber.
Senator Alan Ling Sie Kiong had submitted an urgent motion in accordance with Standing Orders 25 (1) (q) to refer Zahidi to the Dewan Negara Rights and Freedom Committee over his action.
