Zuraida: Govt has approved distribution of almost 40% of RM60mil allocation for new villages

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin told the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday that the government had approved the distribution of almost 40% of the RM60million allocation for infrastructure development and repair works for new villages this year.
However, she said that the process would take a longer time due to the change in administration as well as the movement control order imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zuraida said this in response to a question from Ipoh Timur MP Wong Kah Woh who asked about the reason why there was a delay in distributing the funds to new villages in certain states.
