Anwar on Tg Piai defeat: Losing one poll doesn’t mean the whole govt must go

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s call to dissolve Parliament in light of Pakatan Harapan’s “shocking defeat” in the Tanjung Piai by-election.
Anwar, who is the Port Dickson MP, told reporters that when met at the Parliament lobby on Monday, adding that there was no need to take such a drastic measure, but Pakatan must take more effective actions to restore public confidence towards the ruling government.
The prime minister in waiting also dismissed that there was a race element in the Tanjung Piai by-election results, despite acknowledging a swing in voters.
