A video featuring Semenyih Barisan Nasional candidate Zakaria Hanafi speaking in Mandarin was uploaded to MCA's social media platform, showing his repeated efforts in trying to pronounce 'han yu pin yin' (romanised system for the Chinese language).
In the clip, Zakaria urged Chinese voters to support him to keep the government in check so the people will no longer be cheated.
Polling on March 2 will see a 4-corner fight between Zakaria, Pakatan's Muhammad Aiman Zainali, PSM's Nik Aziz Afiq Abdul and independent candidate Kuan Chee Heng.
