Bersatu will be asking the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to unfreeze its bank accounts on Thursday (Feb 2), said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Perikatan Nasional chairman also said MACC was aware of the funds in Bersatu’s accounts and he is confident that the party has proper financial records.
Muhyiddin also said he hopes that the freeze on Bersatu’s accounts is not a ploy by the unity government to disrupt Perikatan’s election machinery in the looming state polls, adding that he was confident that the MACC is conducting professional and transparent investigations.
