China: Low voter turnout in HK legco polls due to Covid-19 and anti-China sentiments

Beijing on Monday (Dec 20) responded to the low voter turnout rate of Hong Kong’s legislative council election, saying that it is within a "normal and reasonable range".
The Chinese government said the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the interference and sabotage by anti-China forces in Hong Kong were the reasons for the low turnout.
