Dr M: I did not say three years

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has denied saying that he would step down as Prime Minister within three years to hand over the reins to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when asked to comment on the term Monday night.
CNBC had earlier quoted Dr Mahathir as saying that his government needed three years to reduce Malaysia’s debt from 80% of the Gross Domestic Product to 54%.
