Dr M: We need to spell out what is deemed an insult to royalty

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Thursday said the government must properly define what statements are considered insulting to the royal institution as current enforcement officers do not understand what is considered an insulting remark or action. The Prime Minister was commenting on the arrests of three individuals who allegedly insulted Sultan Muhammad V on social media following the announcement that he was stepping down as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
