FULL PC: Canvassing booths not allowed within 50m of polling centres, warns EC chief

Election Commission (EC) chairman Azhar Azizan Harun warned that Pondok panas or canvassing booths are not allowed to be set up by political parties on polling day for the Semenyih by-election.
Speaking to the reporters after visiting a polling center at SMK Bandar Rinching on Saturday, he said only resting huts were allowed to be set up, and it cannot be used for any activities to entice voters.
As of 12pm, voter turnout is at 44%. The total number of registered voters in Semenyih is 54,503.
