Umno reaffirms its stand that an unstable political situation cannot be allowed to continue in the country, says its secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
After the Umno working committee meeting on Monday (Oct 10), Ahmad said their view is similar to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, adding that the party would let the Election Commission (EC) determine the GE15 date, while suggesting that it can be held in mid-November.
In light of the GE15, he also announced that the Umno general assembly, which is scheduled to be held from Nov 23 to 26, has been postponed to a date to be announced later.
