In his speech during the launch of his book ‘Like Me or Hate Me: Rising from the Political Ashes’ on Sunday, former MCA president Tan Sri Dr Chua Soi Lek explained how the title of the book came about and gave suggestions on how the party could move forward in the future, after suffering a major defeat in the recent 14th general election.
Chua's memoir wrote that if a party practices factional politics, then it will be: ‘like a cancer that is slowly but surely destroying the party. The MCA does not need to fear defeat from the DAP in the coming general elections. The most dangerous enemy lies within.’
