Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Thursday said it is untrue that action has not been taken against those insulting Islam, adding that 53 cases have been investigated so far.
He was responding to claims by Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin that Muslims under Pakatan Harapan were threatened and the voices of those “defending Islam” were not heard among leaders today.
Asri’s statement came after an associate of controversial preacher Zakir Naik was arrested for allegedly insulting Hinduism.
