PKR must prepare for leadership transition post-Anwar era, says Dr Zaliha

PKR must start planning for its future and groom the next generation of leaders beyond Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s era, said party vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
In her winding-up speech at the 2026 PKR National Congress on Sunday (Aug 16), Zaliha said a mature party should openly discuss long-term succession planning.
She said PKR, which advocates reforms to limit the Prime Minister’s executive powers, must also proactively identify, train and prepare potential successors.
