The government should introduce a recall petition in line with recent legal amendments to the anti-hopping law, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
On Saturday (July 13), the Umno deputy president responded to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's statement about closing loopholes in the law, highlighting that the recall petition system is currently practised in the United Kingdom, where an MP can lose their seat if voters in their constituency sign a petition to remove them for switching parties.
