Former U.S. President Donald Trump denied on Wednesday (June 5) that he had lost confidence in his legal team after his conviction on charges of falsifying documents to cover up a payment to an adult film star.

During a brief interaction with journalists at a dinner event, Trump attributed his legal challenges to a "rigged system" and claimed political persecution from the White House and Department of Justice.
